Inappropriate Clothes

Softly falling
On my face
A walk in the rain
In a beautiful place
Leaves are shimmering
All around
Little puddles like mirrors
Shine on the ground
The misty hills
A stunning view
The sky a tapestry
Of greys and blue
Everyone is hiding
From the rain
I’m soaked right through
But can’t complain
It’s coolness is cleansing
The blues washed away
I’m ready now
For a sunshiny day
We moan and groan
About summer rain
But I love it
Now and again
There’s no such thing
As weather woes
Just our intolerance
And inappropriate clothes

St Austell, beautiful even in the rain…
View from the railway bridge.
